Everything you need to know about how Relaaay keeps a folder identical across your devices — how transfers route, what happens to your files, and how to get set up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Relaaay is a cross-device folder sync app that keeps folders identical across your desktop and mobile devices. You link a folder on each device into a Folder Group, and any file added on any device appears on all the others in seconds — over LAN when they share a network, or via secure edge routing when they don't. Sync is fully bidirectional: every device both sends and receives.
Relaaay always takes the fastest route available. When your devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, files transfer directly between them over LAN — typically in under a second — without touching a remote server. When devices are on different networks, files stream through a live Cloudflare edge relay, or fall back to secure Cloudflare R2 routing with push-notification delivery to the receiving device.
No. Relaaay does not store your files permanently. Files are buffered temporarily during transit and expire automatically after the retention window. The app is designed as a fast transfer bridge, not a cloud storage subscription.
Relaaay supports macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. The desktop app runs natively on Mac and Windows, and the mobile app runs on iPhone and Android phones. All devices linked under the same account sync with each other automatically.
Sign up at relaaay.com, install the desktop app on your Mac or Windows PC and the mobile app on your phone, then sign in with the same account everywhere. Create a Folder Group on any device, pick the local folder you want to keep in sync, and join the group from your other devices. Any file added to that folder on one device automatically appears on every other device in the group.
Yes. Relaaay has a free tier that lets you start syncing immediately. Paid plans unlock more Folder Groups, larger file sizes, longer file retention, and higher monthly bandwidth. See the pricing page for current plan details.
Yes. A single Folder Group can include multiple desktop and mobile devices. When a file is added to the linked folder on any one device, it is automatically delivered to every other member of the group — there is no fixed sender or receiver.
Yes, and it is fully under your control. Deletion propagation can be switched on or off per Folder Group, and each device can individually opt out of receiving deletions — so you can, for example, keep every file on your desktop archive while your phone stays tidy.
